John opened John Jones Auto Group in Salem, Indiana, in 1983. He started out with 13 employees and 25 new cars. Since then, he has opened John John Jones Auto Group of Corydon, John Jones Automotive Outlet, John Jones Auto Group of Scottsburg, and John Jones Police Pursuit Vehicles in 2016. He has also continued to expand and upgrade these dealerships to incorporate some of the latest conveniences and technologies. Today, John Jones Auto Group sells over 3,800 per year and is proud to employ more than 200 people in Southern Indiana. We offer Apprentice Programs!

At John Jones Auto Group, selling cars isn’t our only priority. We run a Special Christmas Fundraising campaign called Colie Claus. We named it after a very wonderful employee who was always giving. Through this campaign, we provide clothing, shoes, coats and toys for children in need. We are also a major sponsor for the Relay for Life and support local charities and organizations such as Washington County Community Foundation, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation, YMCA, and the Indiana Sheriffs’ Association. For every vehicle, we sell to any Sheriff Department we make a donation to the Indiana Sheriff’s Association and the Indiana Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.
