New Cadillac 2023 Cadillac CT4 for Sale in Salem, IN
2023 CADILLAC CT4 – EVERYTHING YOU NEED
The 2023 Cadillac CT4 model is a compact luxury sedan with a wide range of powertrains and trim levels. The 2023 CT4 is essentially a crossover model. However, Cadillac has hinted that it will offer a few unique versions of the sporty CT4-V Blackwing.
This lineup of compact sedans runs the gamut, from the pedestrian, rental-friendly Luxury through the plusher Premium Luxury, Sport, and turbo-4-trimmed CT4-V to the towering beast of the Blackwing. All have the same basic three-box shape with varying degrees of sportiness.
The standard 2.0-liter turbo-4 should be fine for regular commutes, while the available 2.7-liter turbo-4 provides a noticeable boost in power, if not refinement. The top end is the CT4-V Blackwing, which uses a powerful twin-turbo V-6 and adds a 6-speed manual transmission to the 10-speed automatic lineup. All models except the Blackwing come with rear-wheel drive as standard, with all-wheel drive as an option.
A sound infotainment system complements the boring interior design with wireless smartphone connectivity. Handling is impressive across the range, and the magnetic dampers on the V versions make them comfortable enough for everyday driving. While the CT4 doesn’t have crash-test results, it can be had with Cadillac’s excellent hands-free Super Cruise highway system.

2023 CADILLAC CT4 STYLING & INTERIOR FEATURES
The CT4’s conventional three-box profile offers few surprises, although the detailing can be admired. The low front muzzle includes a wide grille flanked by narrow headlights. The large running lights stretching from the fenders’ tops to the bumper don’t look as well integrated here as on other models. Their basic shape is reflected in the rear, which nevertheless looks lumpy with a large trunk and an integrated spoiler.
CT-4 Blackwing models feature a mesh grille, larger air intakes, larger wheels, and a rear diffuser. You could even add carbon fiber exterior trim for a hefty price.
Inside, the CT4 looks plain and bland, although two-tone leather and dressier trim could liven it up a bit. The 8.0-inch touchscreen is mounted high, sprouting from the dash for easy viewing, and Cadillac makes good controls from below.
Compared to a sedan, the 2023 Cadillac CT4 treats passengers like a coupe. Its comfortable front seats have two genuine leather options in addition to two synthetic leather options and basic power adjustment. Still, rear-seat riders will find legroom and headroom limited. It would be cramped trying to fit four people, despite five seat belts. The 11.0-cubic-foot trunk is also decidedly small for a sedan that’s not that small.
It might have made another point if Cadillac hadn’t been so stingy with good materials. Instead, the CT4 feels more like a stripped-down mainstream model than a scaled-down luxury car, even with the Blackwing’s two-tone leather and carbon fiber trim.
Cadillac provides a good set of standard equipment for the CT4, and the prices for some trims can be downright aggressive.
Standard fare includes synthetic leather trim, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, power-adjustable front seats, remote start, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and alloy wheels. A 4-year/50,000-mile warranty is typical for a luxury vehicle.
2023 CADILLAC CT4 SPECS
It could be very soon. The base of the 2023 Cadillac CT4 uses a 237-hp 2.0-liter turbo-4, while an optional 2.7-liter turbo-4 ups the ante to 310 or 325 hp. in the Premium Luxury configuration, as well as in the CT4-V. We haven’t driven the base turbo-4, although its experience with other General Motors products has been generally positive. The 2.7-liter turbo-4 falls short of its German rivals in smoothness, if not responsiveness.
A 10-speed automatic transmission provides quick shifts with the 2.7-liter turbo-4, while an 8-speed automatic is paired with the base engine.
Even better is the CT4-V Blackwing, which uses a 472-hp twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 and 445 lb-ft of torque. It accelerates to 60 miles per hour (mph) in 3.9 seconds and delivers impressive power at any speed. Blackwing service also means an optional 6-speed manual gearbox with downshift rev adaptation for even more on-road enjoyment.
Underneath, all models feature a stiff, balanced chassis for cornering agility and a comfortable ride. CT4-V models come with magnetic shocks that take away the benefits of its stiffer setup and sportier tires, while the CT4-V Blackwing steps up a notch for track day fun. Powerful, easily modulated brakes and responsive steering add to the fun of the V models.
As the industry advances full electrification, the CT4-V Blackwing is a worthy parting shot for the internal combustion engine.
