John Jones Automotive Group was opened in 1983, by John Jones, of Salem Indiana. John Jones has extensive history in the car profession, as his passion for cars started at a young age. His first job was at a car dealership, the day he got his driver’s license. He has worked his way up through all fields of interest, starting with car jockey, to Auto Tech, Salesman, Sales Manager, General Manager, and finally Owner. He is a great example of persistent hard work along with passion, taking you to your goal. As he has worked extensively one on one with customers and the community, he has developed an understanding of customer’s needs and his constant goal is to ensure that his clientele are fully satisfied with their experience.
John Jones now has four locations, Salem being the founding location in 1983, in 1991 Corydon became the second location, in 1999 Greenville became the third location as a pre-owned automotive outlet, followed by a location in Scottsburg in 2001. What started out as 13 employees and 25 new cars, has expanded to over 200 employees and in a typical year, 2,200 sales.
